Game Brainstorm

 Developing a game has never struck me as an idea wether it be for fun or as a job. I read this article to further understand the idea of game design/development.

Game No. 1 - Crazy Planez

The first game idea I got was inspired by the once very popular game flappy bird. Flappy bird got so popular because it was extremely hard to progress through. It got so bad that after it was removed from the app store/google play, iPhones with the game pre-installed were selling on eBay for up to $10,000. 

The game I thought of is similar to flappy bird except instead of a bird, it would be a plane and instead of continuously tapping the screen to keep the plane in the air you would have to keep your finger on the screen and manoeuvre the plane by moving up or down through poles of some sort, similar to flappy bird. This game could be fun as the only objective is to get as far as possible. A simple game great for passing time. 

Game No. 2 - Football Fling

The next game idea I have might already be a game, I'm not sure but I've never seen it. It's basically like a game of air hockey but using sling shots to try score goals. As the title implies it would be football based, having the background be a mini football pitch and the ball a traditional black and white football. Players would pick either the right or left side and would be able to fling the ball to the opposite side, attempting to score on their opponent.

Game No. 3 - Runner

My third game idea would be similar to the popular game Temple run. The idea of the game is to simply have the avatar automatically run while the player swipes on the screen to dodge any obstacles and collect coins/gems. The idea of the game is to get as far as possible and to get enough coins to upgrade thier in game avatar. The player can unlock different worlds as they progress through the game and they can also unlock different outfits/accessories for their avatar.

Game No. 4 - Colour Match

My final idea for a game is called colour match. The game is meant to be a speed/time trial game. The idea of the game is to have an assortment of different coloured circles on the screen then have a single coloured circle pop up at the top of the screen and the player would have to select the matching colour from the options below as quick as possible.
